A proposed Idaho community bank

A community bank for Idaho, built the careful way.

Reserve Community Bank is being organized to serve one Idaho community with local deposits, local credit decisions, conservative lending, and modern digital banking — with the capital and controls a bank should have before it opens its doors.

What we're building

Plain banking, done well.

No cryptocurrency. No banking-as-a-service. No rate-chasing deposits from across the country. A bank that knows its customers, keeps a large cushion of cash and Treasuries, and lends on things it understands.

Deposits you can count on

Checking, savings, money-market and CD accounts for households and businesses, with debit cards, ACH, wires, mobile deposit and treasury tools for local companies.

Lending that makes sense

Owner-occupied commercial real estate, home mortgages, secured small-business loans, auto and other secured consumer credit — underwritten locally, by people who will still be here next year.

Technology without the risk

A proven hosted core and a full digital banking app from established bank-technology providers, with the bank keeping every risk decision in-house.

Why Idaho

Fast-growing communities deserve a bank that decides locally.

Idaho has been among the fastest-growing states in the country. New households and new businesses arrive every month — while many of the community banks that once served them have been absorbed into regional and national institutions whose credit decisions are made somewhere else.

We are evaluating a single primary market — with the western Treasure Valley growth corridor as our working preference — through an independent feasibility study, and we will choose on one test only: where a locally accountable bank is genuinely needed.

Our commitments

  • Capitalized above what regulators require, not at the statutory minimum
  • At least a quarter of assets in cash and short U.S. Treasuries and agencies
  • Funded by local core deposits — no brokered or listing-service money
  • Conservative, understandable lending with hard concentration limits
  • A dedicated compliance and BSA/AML officer from day one
  • Independent audit, loan review and penetration testing every year

  6. OpeningCharter and insurance issued; first customers
Team

We are assembling the organizing group.

A de novo bank is only as good as the bankers who run it and the directors who oversee them. We are looking for experienced Idaho and Mountain-West community bankers and community leaders who want to build something durable.
